Hi! I’m Holly Stoufer, and I’m trying to raise money to go on a singing tour of Europe with my choir next summer. We’ll be performing in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, and representing Santa Rosa’s wonderful talent abroad. The cost for each chorister is $3,800 so we’ll be fundraising throughout the year. With this page, I’ll be advertising opportunities for other fundraising events as well.
I’ve been in the Santa Rosa Children’s Chorus for 2 wonderful years, and I love having this opportunity to experience culture through music. It’s not every day that an average kid from California gets to sing in some of the most famous venues in the world. We’ll be performing in castles, cathedrals, and in the music halls of composers such as Bach and Haydn, as well as experiencing the culture of central Europe.
In the two years I’ve been with the Santa Rosa Children’s Chorus, I’ve sung in 5 different languages including German, Hebrew, French and Gaelic. We’ve learned more music theory than most people know exists, we can identify intervals and copy down a tune onto paper all by ear. The Concert Group always sings in at least 3 or 4 part harmony, and sometimes as many as 6 parts. Each semester, we learn around 20 new songs, and perform them throughout the year.
Please consider making a donation and helping us spread the joy of music around the world. Thank you!
