Curly and Amber are special. They are lights, they bring joy! They have and would drop what they were doing to help anyone that needed it, be they stranger or family. Curly will go the extra mile to help you finish a job, to make sure you feel welcome or just to make you smile. Amber lifts you with her words of kindness and her empathetic ear.
We’re all lucky to have them around. So lets get this done!!
You all know by now about the accident in which Amber received severe injuries to her head and face. From what I know, we are lucky they are alive for us to love on. This accident blindsided them- but unfortunately it wasn’t the first knockout they’ve been dealt this year. This has added a whole new burden of bills and missed work onto an already physically and mentally stressed household. Most of you know Amber recently had to undergo a major liver surgery. Curly has been steady working to repair her back, after a major injury of her own. She has been receiving injections and doing the hard work to regain the capabilities and energy of the buddy we all love to have around.
They’ve been steady digging themselves out of the hole. While they’ve been working two jobs a piece, they’ve only shown us smiles. Always maintaining the willingness to help out where and when needed, no one would have known they were in need. They were so excited that Curly’s parents offered them a chance to relax at the beach, then this, and now they face another major surgery, and more missed work. Our friends are having a hard time guys, and we can help.
Amber’s car has been grounded for a couple months and now Curly’s car will be a loss, and she owed more than she will receive. They need to be mobile to get back and forth to these appointments and to physical therapy and work and life, and the rental car will only last so long. So lets get Amber's car fixed, help keep the essentials paid, and hopefully lessen their burden. After Amber's surgery I would also like to set up a meal site where people who wish can make a dish while curl is trying to work and support amber in her recovery.
These two are special, they mean so much to so many of us. They are worthy of a one time hand UP to get them past a hard spot. Let's pull together as a community to lift two of our own out of this hard time. Its never easy to know how to help when someone you love is hurting or struggling- but this time it is. They would never ask, so Suzy and I are asking for them. No kindness is too small, and any gift will be joyously celebrated.
