I've worked with Mike for several years at Camp Colvos. Together, we have slung pizzas, shucked oysters, built a new kitchen, flipped burgers, sorted out the confusing landscapes of scheduling employees, and a ton of other restauranty things.

But if you know Mike, you'd know that working with him is also like hanging out with a buddy and making money while you do it.

Don't get me wrong. He works hard, really hard.

But he has a way about him that is super peaceful, and no matter what, he always gets through any rush, striving for perfection; efficiency; and joy.

Mike and Jamie and Tyson have been blessed with the addition of Onyx this past year! It's been awesome to watch Mike's loving embrace of their new child.

A few days ago, Mike fell to the ground while working. It was so scary. Teammates helped keep him alive until the paramedics arrived.

There is still a lot we do not know; but we do know he is going to be OK.

We also know that he's not going to be able to work again for a while. His family will need our support until he is back on his feet.
