In memory of Brian Ahern

What if you spent your life dreaming of all you would experience with your kids and grand-kids... What if no matter what you imagined the future would hold, there were other plans...

This is a story that can happen to any one of us, at any time. The Ahern family of Rockville Centre had their share of ups and downs, like any other family. But on Christmas Day the unthinkable happened. Brian, a member of the Rockville Centre Fire Department, passed away. The family is devastated as he was taken way too soon from their lives. Brian was one of the most loving, caring husbands, father and grandfather. He would look forward to seeing his granddaughter every chance he could and lived for his family.

There is nothing much we can do to ease the pain, but we can try to help in a small way. The youngest Ahern child, Matthew, is entering his last semester at University of Miami. Brian was so proud of his son...how wonderful he was doing and how close he was to seeing his youngest graduate from a wonderful university. Without Brian's financial contribution it would be impossible for Matthew to finish his studies.

If you can join me in helping Matthew finish his last semester at University of Miami, and help a fellow RVC mom see her deceased husband's dream for their son realized, it will ease some stress from a devastating loss.
