Yesterday morning I heard a knock on my door and opened the door to some very sad news. My neighbor, who also knew Joel was at my door to tell me that a dear friend of many years, in fact decades had passed away the night before. My family and closest friends spent our day in shock over the news that Joel had passed away. It is still difficult for us all to believe. So many years, so many great memories and a few not so good, but always friends in the end. Many of his friends and those who knew him heard the same sad news yesterday and many more will still learn of his passing over the next few days. Anyone who knew Joel, knew that he had a love for his Dogs, music, good times with friends, but more than anything he loved his Mom. I cannot imagine as a parent myself to two little boys, how deep her anguish is right now. Our hearts go out to you and I know that this should not be a time for a Mother to worry about financing services for her child, but a time to grieve and feel support from family and loved ones. Please help us provide a little relief for Karen Veach, Joel's amazing Mom, so that she may focus her energy on the truly important issues during this very sad and difficult time.
