Jesse’s surgery is in a couple days and we need to spread a message of support.

My high school friend of over 30 years, Laura is needing a little extra help with one of her dogs, Jesse to get out of extreme pain. Jesse had torn her ACL a couple months ago and has been suffering in pain since. Laura has been doing as much as possible within a difficult situation. Laura was in an extremely horrific accident years ago that has left her with an amputated leg, a brain injury, and financially vulnerable. Laura’s dogs are her world!

Jesse is a young 6 yr old LabXHusky, Laura's beautiful-hearted companion is in urgent need of surgery to ease her pain in her rear leg due to a torn ACL. This surgery is crucial for Jesse’s comfort and well-being, as it will help her regain mobility and happiness. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the organization that is dedicated to helping animals like Jesse.

A little back story of my friend Laura ~

When I visited Laura for grief and loss support after her father died in November of 2024, I arrived at her home to see a family of 6 staying for respite from a violent household. Laura has a heart of gold, she helps others when in need. ✨ This is our time to show Laura support!

Laura is supporting a household, with unforeseen circumstances such as a broken furnace, a vehicle that needs a timing chain.

We are asking for help with Jesse’s much needed surgery. Thank you !!

OHS rescues and rehabilitates over a thousand animals per year, particularly cats and dogs: spaying neutering, vaccinating, and providing permanent ID. We end the breeding cycle of lost, feral and abandoned cats then adopt out or return them to caretakers. OHS also provides subsidized low cost spay/neuter to low income families in the Okanagan and help for unowned community animals.
