Help Michelle beat Cancer

In November 2017,  Michelle Lee-Barksdale discovered a lump on her left breast. It wasn't until January 30th that she was able to get an appointment with her primary care physician. After a biopsy and mammogram, over the following weeks, Michelle was diagnosed on February 9th with Cancer! Stage three triple negative ductal carcinoma, to be exact.

After meeting with 3 oncology teams, chemo treatment was scheduled to start on March 6th with a double mastectomy and radiation to follow. Since the very first treatment, Michelle has literally been in excruciating pain, and suffering! 

Nausea, excessive body aches, loss of cognitive thinking and the inability to work or care for her children is really taking a toll on her.

On top of that, her savings were exhausted early on and the outside resources have been few.  Family members have uprooted their lives to provide care not covered by insurance. 

Although she's nearing the end of her chemo rounds, Michelle still has a long, exhausting, and burdensome journey ahead.

She is scheduled for surgery on  August 22nd and a double mastectomy on September 7th .  After that, she'll be scheduled to start receiving radiation.

Michelle is an independent small business owner, tax consultant, and sole provider for herself and her three adopted daughters.

For those of you who may or may not know Michelle, she is the most vibrant, determined, and self-motivated person you will ever meet.

Though both her parents are no longer with her, Michelle is a loving daughter to her adopted mom And a devoted sister, mother, cousin, auntie, business woman,  and friend.

We are collecting funds as soon as immediately. Her surgery is scheduled for a few weeks from now.  This will have her even more debilitated, right before her girls go back to school on September 3rd. She will be  hospitalized for many days and still unable to work.

Michelle is the sole tax accountant in her office, Express Taxes R' Us. When she is unable to work she will not be able to pay her office rent and overhead, or provide for herself and her three daughters.

The money raised will be used to:

1. Help pay for medical bills and expenses during her treatment.

2. Living expenses for Michelle, Braelynn, Raeanna and Maliyah as she fights this awful disease.
