I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Erin and Brennan Anderson, whose son Austin was tragically injured in a devastating boating accident in Muskoka.
Austin was spending a summer weekend in Muskoka, just like so many do, enjoying time with his brother, Jordan, when tragedy struck. Austin was hit by a boat operated by an individual suspected to be under the influence.
The impact left Austin critically injured. He is now in the hospital facing life-threatening injuries. Doctors have shared that the likelihood of him recovering is, heartbreakingly, very low.
This fundraiser is being set up to help Erin, Brennan, and their family navigate the unimaginable, from the costs of medical care and time away from work, to long-term support should Austin begin a recovery journey. Our hope is to ease the financial burden so they can focus entirely on being by Austin’s side during this incredibly painful time.
Austin is a bright, kind, and spirited 22-year old person with so much life ahead of him. Erin and Brennan are loving, devoted parents who now find themselves facing every parent's worst nightmare, and Jordan and Cailynn, Austin's brother and sister, are grappling with the guilt of being helpless.
