Message from the family of Katie Fox.
In light of the event and the tragic death of our most precious and beautiful daughter katie, we want to share her story.
On the evening of 7th November 2025, Katie visited birmingham city centre, to see and enjoy the christmas market and to enjoy the festivities at this most special time.
After a wonderful and pleasant evening, Katie decided to make her way home. Katie was standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus in the city centre, no doubt feeling happy and full of life after her happy day.
sadly though her life was taken from her in an instant by a unprovoked attack, which we now believed to be a bladed item, where she was mortally wounded.
Katie then was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth hospital, although extensive efforts from emergency services were made, sadly two days later on the 9th November, Katie passed away from the horrific injuries she sustained.
Our lives have been turned upside down from this most tragic and senseless
violence.
Although Katie had autism and learning disibilities, she was full of life and very kind, quiet, caring with a big heart and a loving young woman, Katie will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will always be in our hearts forever.
Dear Katie your loss is too much to bear but we know we have to be strong in light of such sadness.
God bless you Katie, you innocent special young beautiful lady. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
