Evan's Wish Trip

Donation protected
Evans trip is close!! He is so excited to be done with all the chemo and spinal taps and taking so much medication! He will still need to see the doctors once a month to check bloodwork, but at least no more chemo!!
Evan would like to celebrate being done with chemo and all treatments for his leukemia this August 2016, by going on a trip! He is going on this trip July 15th! You wouldn’t be able to tell it now, but since April 19, 2013, Evan has been battling high risk ALL Leukemia. Since his diagnoses he has had to deal with quite a few adverse effects from the chemo; those effects have kept him very sick and in and out of the hospital a lot. Evan is, finally, in the maintenance phase of his treatment, although pretty easy considering what he has gone through, he still has to undergo nightly chemo, once a month IV treatment chemo, and spinal taps every three months. While undergoing these treatments he has had many times where he has needed blood transfusions because it has made him so sick. On top of all of this Evan has a special enzyme which causes his chemo not to process correctly, which in turn causes him to have more visits than normal to check his blood, and make sure he is tolerating the chemo well. Throughout his treatment he has had to take steroids as part of his cancer treatment, there are of course side effects to this as well. One of the side effects are deterioration of the bones, which he developed in his knees and legs, so he had to be taken off of them and rechecked every six months to see if the damage done has improved so he can start back on them.

Through all the obstacles Evan has had to face, he has always had a smile on his face, and a wonderful attitude! He loves sports and his team so much he still gives his all even with having chemo that week. He never gives up, he has never let this ugly monster win!

We set up this go fund me to help us give him a celebration and trip he deserves once he is finished with his treatments in August 2016! We are all so excited for this to be over for our brave Evan, he has been such a fighter!

Thank you so much for all your support! Through this all we are especially thankful to God for bringing Evan through this, as well as the rest of the family.
