It only took one look and one smile from one child to completely turn my world upside down. And when I opened my eyes, I mean really opened my eyes and my heart and let myself feel, I knew I would never be the same again. I have been forever changed.
In October of 2013, I was blessed to be able to go on a mission trip with SERV International into Kenya.
I’m headed back again this year in September to continue HIS work in me and through me.
In addition to traveling to remote villages to Serve, we will be spending time at SERV’s orphanage in Lodwar, Kenya. SERV International rescues children from certain death in surrounding villages and brings them to their orphanage, House of Hope. They are loved and cared for and provided with a solid foundation from which they can grow. On this trip we will be bringing in 5 new orphans to stay at the House Of Hope. In 2013 I saw God everywhere. It shifted everything that I had thought I knew and believed in.
This year, I enter Kenya very different from the woman of 2013. Only God knows how I will return. I have been told that people have a need to give and they just don't know it. I do have a need to give and I know it. Please help me get back to Kenya this year.
