Ken Rothwell Needs Our Help

My name is Michelle Iturralde, and I am starting this GOFUNDME fundraiser for my close friend Kenny Rothwell.

For years, I have watched Kenny give to others through Ken’s Kicken’ Chicken and many times from his own pocket. Kenny continued giving even when he became sick, often offering to help others from his hospital bed!

For those who do not know, when Kenny’s cancer progressed, he turned his Ken’s Kickin’ Chicken business over to a few of his staff and moved to Venice, FL, to be closer to family. The company went bankrupt during COVID, and Kenny was unable to fully recover financially.

Just recently, Ken was feeling stronger and was able to get back up on his feet. He started a small business in Venice, sealing pavers. Sadly, due to hurricane IAN and Ken's line of work, Ken will have no income for a while.

Ken’s home was also in the hurricane’s path; unfortunately, Ken did not have insurance. He now needs furniture and medications and will continue to have monthly bills to pay while out of work.

Kenny has been there for thousands of people, organizations, and charities over the last two decades. To name a few, Ken often donated to the Boys and Girls Club, the American Red Cross (he was voted hero of the year for his community service), the Salem Rotary, and has also made significant donations to many charities and scholarship programs.

For years, Ken also provided jobs for people who could not find employment, fed friends and strangers who were out of work due to an injury or loss of job, or someone just down on their luck. Ken did this because he genuinely cared about people and never asked for or expected anything in return!

Well, now it is our turn to help Ken and show him that WE care about HIM!

There is no amount too small. All money will go directly into Ken’s account so he can start to return to normalcy as soon as possible.
