Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read this, donated and prayed for Shaun........Update: Shaun has been seen by his radiation oncologist, he will have 33 days of radiation but first he has to see the dentist to check for any loose teeth or any teeth that needs repairs because once he starts radiation there can be no dental work done. The dentist also has to make a tongue plate so his tongue isn't damaged during radiation. He has an appointment January 15th with his medical oncologist to discuss how much chemo he will need. I will continue to update when possible. His radiation oncologist did say that this is going to get very painful and overwhelming for Shaun so please continue to pray for him................ Shaun's cancer journey... My name is Claudia McCollum and my husband was recently diagnosed with Oropharyngeal Cancer (tonsil cancer), which has already metastasized to his left lymph node on his neck. He was taken to the ER on November 15th for coughing up blood. The doctors did a lot of tests and finally a biopsy. We saw an ENT surgeon on December 8th, and he told us surgery isn't an option due to the size of the mass on his tonsils. He will undergo 6-8 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy.

Shaun has always been the sole provider for Shelbie and me, and with this diagnosis, we won't have an income coming in. We are just at the beginning of his cancer journey, and the realization of him not being able to work is adding more stress to the situation. I wish we didn't have to ask anyone for anything, especially financial help, but we don't know what else to do. We know from my previous cancer diagnosis that bills are going to start rolling in.
