Team Tim! Fighting hard to beat brain cancer.

This is not something you ever imagine yourself doing. When Tim was diagnosed with brain cancer in Oct. of 2022, it turned our entire life upside down. Setting up a GoFundMe wasn't on my list. This is humbling. It's vulnerable. It's hard. But the reality is healthcare is expensive, even with insurance.
As you can imagine, this unexpected life event has dramatically impacted our lives and income. We could use some support to ensure Tim gets the BEST care. Funds will be used to:
- Meet Tim's medical insurance deductibles that reset at the beginning of each calendar year (Jan. 1).
- Frequent travel to and from Chicago for Tim to participate in a clinical trial at Northwestern Hospital. Some travel and food expenses are covered by the clinical trial, but not all of it.
- Additional car repair and maintainence expenses from such frequent travel to and from Chicago.
- Tim's high COBRA payment to keep his health coverage now that Tim is no longer able to work and not yet eligibile for Medicare.
- We currently pay almost $2,000 a month in health insurance premiums and saving toward's deductables/max out of pocket expenses.
- Help with medical expenses not covered by insurance.
His diagnosis is considered terminal. There is no cure. However, with treatment, Tim's life can be extended for an average of 5 to 7 years. There are survivors with his diagnosis beating the odds and living much longer. With advancements in treatment, clinical trials, an amazing medical team, and God's faithfulness, we hope to beat the odds!
And now I have a vulnerability hangover. Thank you for your contributions to Team Tim as he courageously fights this disease.
