Donna's Medical Care
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Rick Whitcomb and my wife Donna and I have been missionaries in West Africa since 1983. We are truly blessed to work with children at risk and help build today's orphans into tomorrow's leaders.
Earlier this year, Donna began having difficulty walking. At first, she attributed this to a knee injury. But as the months went by, other troubling signs of her loss of motor skills began to appear. Therapy and exercise didn’t help, so she returned to Virginia in July to seek medical attention.
Doctors have determined that her spine is injured and that she needs spinal surgery urgently to help relieve her spine and stop the deterioration in her condition. Donna is scheduled for spinal surgery on Monday September 20th at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
We are facing unexpected medical expenses that our insurance doesn’t cover. Our goal is to raise $25,000 by the end of September to help us cover the costs of her surgery and subsequent rehabilitation and recover. Thank you so much for your love and support.
