Find a cure for Pancreatic cancer

In the early days of June in 2019 my mum, Donna Rudd, discovered a growth on her pancreas. This growth was later identified to be a cancerous tumour which required immediate surgery. 1 month later, mum and my family recieved the devestating news that this surgery was unsuccessful, and she was given 18 months to live.

Mum kept pushing forward though. Never giving up or saying no. Through extensive kemotherapy and other treatments, mum always had a smile on her face. Even when this therapy did not improve her quality of life.

On September the 29th 2020, mum unfortunately passed away as a result of the ongoing issues associated with pancreatic cancer.

Mums' passing left an unbelievable large hole in the hearts of my family, one that will never be filled. As we were left wondering, how? Why? And what if?

On the 24th of September 2023, I will be competing in the Ironman 70.3 hosted in Penrith, New South Wales.

I have committed alot of my time, effort and research into this achievement to honour my mum. To honour the ongoing sacrifices that she made for me and my family. To honour the continued smile she had on her face, even when the hardest of news hit her.

I have made this commitment as a statement of support to those who have been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, and their families.

I ask if you could please spare some change to donate to Pankind. Who are one of the leading authorities in pancreatic cancer research. Every cent will be given to this charity for research into this vile disease.

Please forward this message to your friends, and together we can support those who are affected.

Together we can stand up to cancer.

Below is a message from pankind.
