On New Year’s Day our family experienced a very scary house fire due to an electrical malfunction. The fire started in our youngest twos room. They lost everything. Their clothes, stuffed animals, and so many irreplaceable treasures. Our home suffered from a lot of smoke damage. We are trying to salvage as much of our personal belongings as we can. We are currently displaced from our home for the foreseeable future. Although we have renters insurance the home suffered extensive damages. Any contribution helps ours family in this extremely difficult time we also have venmo and PayPal or Amazon if you would rather contribute that way. Thank you for everything.

UPDATE-

We have been living with family for the last 8 months and have been so thankful for their generosity in letting us stay with them. In the last 8 months our family has been thrown for a loop. I lost my job with the silver falls school district due to budget cuts. It felt like the last piece of “home” we had left was taken from us as I worked at the kids school. The owners of our previous home will not be rebuilding and that left us displaced with no way of going back to our old home. Our insurance also didn’t pay us out even half of what we lost. Claiming that we needed receipts for all our items lost. It truly felt like rock bottom for our family. Then in April I totaled my car. Leaving us, a family of 6 with just one vehicle. We are still waiting on GAP insurance to pay off the remaining balance of the car. This year has tested our strength and resilience like never before.

We have finally found a place that we want to call home. We realized that we have to start all over in purchasing all new (or new to us) furniture for our home along with all the other expenses that come with renting a new home. It’s very overwhelming and we are asking for help to get us settled in while we put back the pieces of our lives.
