Funeral for Peter Goin
Dear family and friends,
I am the sister in law of Peter writing to you about the loss of my brother-in-law, Peter Christopher Goin. My sister Trisha received that unfortunate news on Tuesday, March 26th 2024, that Peter died unexpectedly at the hospital , at some point they were unable to resuscitate him, Peter was just 59 years old. It turned out that Peter had illnesses related to alcoholism, he did not know to what extent. He had been sober for three weeks prior to him passing. He was on the road to a better life and truly wanted to get better. This was the first time in 21 years that we as a family have seen him sober and clear minded, including his young daughter of 18 years who he got to visit with the day before he passed. We are shocked and devastated by the news, and struggling to even get started with funeral services.
I am trying my best to help my sister, prepare for what’s next. Right now my sister and her family are struggling with bills due to Peter losing his job recently, let alone an unexpected funeral. Therefore I am reaching out to friends and family to help with the cost of the services and hopefully a little to help relieve my sister from the stress of rent and bills next month so that She can only focus on mourning the loss of her husband and helping her family heal.
- Through their ups and downs, Peter and Trisha loved each other so much, his family was everything to him. They were together for 21 years and have five children together in total, Kaylee Goin 18, Elijah Sanchez 20, Cedric White 27, Jovan Goin 27, and Isreal Goin 26. Peter raised and loved his stepchildren as if they were his own. He enjoyed barbecuing and cooking for his family, they all enjoyed his music together, because that was Peter’s thing. My sister will miss dancing with her best friend and all the times he took her to Rocksteady and watched Sulka shows together.
- Funeral services and celebration of life will be held in Escondido with more information to come. The rough cost for everything will be anywhere from $5000-$8,000. Right now my sister is at a loss and inconsolable, anything will help. Just sharing this information will help support Trisha and her family. I thank you all for taking the time to read this and please keep the Goin family in your thoughts and prayers. Fly high Peter, we will miss you.
