Donate to Relocate a Family in Need

Hello Everyone, I am seeking assistance with relocating to a safer residence for myself and my children. In 2020, we returned to our hometown so I could receive medical attention from my heart specialist. Unfortunately, our home suffered damage to the roof, fence, and security gate due to Hurricane Ida in 2021. Despite my efforts to contact the landlord, the necessary repairs were not made, and I was often met with hostility or excuses. In December 2024, the landlord increased the rent by $450 without providing a timeline for the repairs. Recently, we have experienced severe rainstorms, resulting in roof leaks, and I am concerned about the potential for black mold growth. I have reached out to the landlord again, but he has not responded. I believe he is taking advantage of my disability and the fact that Louisiana is not a tenant-friendly state. However, I am fortunate to have a supportive community, and I am asking for your help in securing a safer living environment for my children and me.
