My brother in law was t-boned on 04/08/25 and was airlifted with traumatic injuries. He is in a coma and on a ventilator. He has multiple fractures and multiple brain bleeds, including a fracture at the base of his skull. He is currently admitted to the Trauma ICU and we still are unsure of the potential outcome.

Update 04/11 - the doctors continue their efforts to take care of him. He is still not responding or following commands or focusing in. The drain tube from brain has been removed.

Update 04/14 - Had to have another chest tube put in as they were having issues getting the air out to keep lung inflated. So he has two chest tubes on one side & they seem to be working & getting the air out. He will go back tomorrow morning to remove the ventilator & have a trach/feeding tube placed endoscopically. There was mention of blood pressure concerns & possible blood transfusion. The hope is the trach will make him less combative & allow them to try to wake him without the tubes etc on his face.

Update 04/16 - trach placed and feeding tube moved. There has still been very little to minimal response. The issues with blood pressure concerns remain.

Update 04/17 - running a fever for 2 days now, still not responding, blood pressure was 73 today and has been in the 90s this entire time, chest tubes have been removed

Update 04/19 - last night he woke up and appears to know who he is and who his family is. He is in alot of pain and has a long way to go!

Update 04/25 - he has finally been moved out of ICU! Still pretty sedated and no other real updates. His daughter was finally allowed to see him.

Update 04/29 - we have a walker! God is so good! Please keep sharing so we can continue to help him! We have a long way to go but look how far he has come.
