The Cove School fundraiser

Our preschool, The Cove School, has been serving the West Seattle community for the past 10 years. We are grateful for the many families who have trusted us and allowed us to be part of their children's journey. We've built a wonderful community!  Every year has been a new adventure and an opportunity to build new friendships. This year has been a little different for us; Covid brought some new challenges. Like many other small businesses, we have struggled with the idea of closing our doors.

After many difficult months, we decided to take a leap of faith and keep our doors open for the 2020-2021 school year. We have reinvented ourselves, creating a new outdoor program to ease our families into the idea of returning to school during this unusual time. Following CDC recommendations, we've downsized our classroom size and moved our activities outside.  We've also reduced the number of groups we have each day. We are excited and thankful to be able to offer this option although it comes with financial challenges. The enrollment downsizing has left us with 14 less spots than our usual enrollment. We've also lost our afternoon program and now find ourselves with a significantly reduced budget and a monetary gap we are struggling to bridge.


We've managed to make conscious efforts to minimize our expenses without affecting our staff salaries and the quality of our program. We now find ourselves unsure of what the future holds, sadly another year of reduced enrollment would mean our school shutting down for good.
This is our first time creating this type of fundraiser, we love our school and we believe that with your help we'll have the support we need to keep going. We've been serving the West Seattle community for the past 10 years.  We'd love to see another decade!
