This is my son Butch and his wife Tammie with there three sons Cody, Kasey, and Christian. Many of you already know their story but for those who don't, all three of their sons have severe special needs. Their challenges have been very hard for a long time but in recent months has become more difficult. As the boys have grown older, the challenges with Christian have moved from challenging to dangerous. Christian has always had violent outbursts, but now that Christian is 13 and 150 lbs his violent outburst toward Tammie and Cody are forcing Butch and Tammie to pursue Subacute Care for Christian at Albertina Kerr. This would mean Christian would not be living at their home. The heart break of coming to this decision that is coming years after being recomended by professionals, is not easy.
In addition to this difficult decision, Butch will be having surgery to remove an Addrenal Gland that has a 5.5 centimeter Cyst on it. More test are being performed to determine when this surgery will need to take place, but it will be in the next 3 months.
All of the challenges they face, honestly there are too many to list but we have seen them first hand. This "go fund me account" will help with the medical bills that are already begining to accumulate as well as needed time off from work. But more importantly to lift and repair spirits. Their furniture is cut up and busted and broken from Christian and their house needs some basic repairs. They could also just use a break.
Both Butch and Tammie have always been giving with their time. Tammie continues to mentor other moms with special needs kids all over the world. Her endless love for her children is beyond compare. Anyone who spends any timer with her and her boys comes away with a changed perspective regarding their view of the challenges of being a parent. They also have a much different view of unconditional love. She deserves to have an unbroken home and the healing that will come with your gift to them. Please be praying for devine healing.
Our love for Christian is incredible, we must remember that he is also a victim here and he
needs our prayers and continued love as well. If you met him, you love him. He is a very wonderful young man.
