As many of you know Moose is my world and he means everything to me. Late Sunday evening on June 8th Moose went into breathing distress and was rushed to the emergency vet. Upon arriving his tongue had turned blue and he was unable to breathe. He was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis and required emergency surgery in order to live. His surgery was successful, but in the process he aspirated and ended up with aspiration pneumonia. He has had blood tests and x-rays and other than his current situation, he is in perfect health, which is why we chose to move forward with his hospitalization and recovery. He is currently at MedVet in Asheville and the bill is piling up significantly. For just the two days he’s been at the emergency vet along with the surgery we are at $10,000 roughly and the bill will climb higher if he has a longer stay.
