My name is Becky Grantland and my niece Caitlin went to the Er on July 17th, with abdominal pain. She had been nauseated and vomiting for a few weeks. They did a ultrasound in the Er and found several masses. She was admitted right away. On the following Monday they did biopsies of the mass on her liver and her intestines. The doctors knew then that it was cancer but had to send the pathology off. It took several weeks to get answers. Caitlin has germ cell ovarian cancer that has metastasized to her liver and intestines. She has had to have fluid drained off her lungs and her abdomen several times. This week she chemo will be receiving three different types of chemo.  When she is finally released she would have spent over a month in the hospital. We have started this go fund me to help pay for any copays, deductibles, medical needs and prescriptions that she may have. We also hope to help Cyndi her mom with gas and food for Caitlin. She had been driving over 14 hours a week to spend time with Caitlin and stopping to get her food. At this point we will try anything to get her to eat. Caitlin will be 23 on August the 23rd and she has a 7 month old baby girl. We just want her to beat this beast and not have any worries about all these expenses.
