Ricky's Emergency Surgery

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am currently sobbing uncontrollably and desperately asking for everyone's assistance. My 5 year old Chihuahua, Ricky, was attacked by a very large dog this morning. There are many puncture wounds, most of them are severe. He is currently in surgery due to a large puncture wound in his chest cavity. I unfortunately do not have any more information on his status right now.

I will do anything it takes to save my boy. They gave me a total estimate of $7,500 for his procedure and as many of you can imagine, that is not something we would ever be prepared for. I was told I needed to come up with $5,500 in order for them to start prepping him for surgery. I delivered $3,760 in cash and they are willing to let me finance the rest.

I am so scared and heartbroken for my tiny, spicy boy right now. If you can donate anything to help us, we will be forever grateful.

Ricky is recovering from surgery and doing well. He has had surgery to repair his chest wall, which the surgeon said is healing perfectly. He also has a fractured scapula, muscle damage, and other puncture wounds. I am so grateful for Tufts taking care of our pup. I am also grateful for all of the donations from all of you incredibly generous people. I am truly blown away by the generosity and support you have all shown us in our time of need. Thank you all so very much, from the bottom of our hearts. He will have a tough road to recovery, but he is getter better every day ❤️
