Hello friends & family,
Today I’m going to share my brain cancer story with all of you in hopes of your support towards raising money to support my treatment (Radiology + Chemo Pill) and in support of others going through the same diagnosis to be able to build an organization that can plan on financially helping those in need (without insurance) to afford their treatments.
On 7/23/2023, I was in bed sick for about a week thinking I had COVID or something similar that was making me feel exhausted and have super intense migraines until I just passed out and didn’t wake up, so my husband Franco called 911 and I was rushed to Mount Sinai where they ran a CT Scan and discovered a significant brain tumor the size of an egg. The doctor had to make a very quick decision on the spot and got the OK from Franco to operate immediately and remove the mass.
I lost partial right strength in my arm and leg but miraculously and if you know me, you know my strength :), I was able to regain complete control within a few days and started my recovery process. Going through radiology sessions now, and starting chemo meds next week, will be life-changing.
Thank you all for your support and looking forward to sharing more news and updates with you.
With love always,
