Hello, my name is Iana and I am fundraising for my Mom, Sonia. My mom has been a cancer warrior since January 2024. It was a devastating blow for the whole family because we had found her cancer in the late stage already. She has Colon Cancer Stage 4. It spread to her lymph nodes and liver. We’ve done a right hemicolectomy as soon as we found out to remove the main source of the cancer. Since then, by the grace of God, she had been through 18 cycles of Chemotherapy.

By December last year, she had quite a few episodes of severe headache and was often sick, we later found that the cancer had spread to her brain. It was a very sad day.

We did another PET scan, and we found that there’s no cancer from the neck down, only the brain metastasis remained. We were sad because the cancer didn’t go away but in awe of the Lord at the same time because He cleared her cancer from the neck down

She had been in and out of the hospital for the past 3 months trying to clear her from the complications of her brain metastasis and procedures (she had a VP shunt for hydrocephalus and 10 rounds of Whole Brain Radiotherapy)

Right now we are facing a huge medical bill as she is placed under intensive care as her pneumonia keeps coming back. She is having treatments in the Philippines, hence the medical bills are putting a strain on us financially because sadly, there’s not much government support for patients there.

The funds will be used for her treatments and any medicines she may need in her healing journey.
