Those who know the Nelson family have seen how this verse exemplifies how they live life in each and every circumstance that comes their way. On Friday, September 20th, Rob and Rose’s son, Ryan, was killed in an auto accident.
These are Rob’s words to us as he shared the news...
In the reality of the extreme grief, there is also true celebration in his “Home-going”. Ryan made a decision over 25 years ago to surrender his heart to Christ. He received a new heart that day. That is the God-size heart that we all knew and loved so dearly. He experienced much pain and suffering, challenges and struggles along the way, but that heart always came through. He so loved his family and friends and would share that love with anyone who would give him a chance. We find rest in knowing he is truly at peace and free from the pain and struggles. We thank God in Christ for His amazing Grace that loves us all as broken people, into hope and eternity. Ryan will be so greatly missed but that smile and heart of his will continue to remind us there is hope and of the opportunity we have to share that love with those around us.
We love you Ryan, more than words can express and are so thankful for the love and joy you so brought into our lives. Son, we will see you again soon!

As the Nelson family begins to regain footing on their Firm Foundation, the reality of all the costs associated with getting Ryan from Georgia to Spartanburg and all the many others they will incur in the days and weeks ahead are the reason they allowed this GoFundMe Page to be created.
As you know, Rob and Rose are folks who love well and withhold no good thing from anyone. We thank you for your expressions of love to each of them at this time, whether through a donation or a prayer. They are each and every one appreciated.
