Hello, my name is Elisa and I adopted Daisy in October 2014 from the Jack Russell Rescue of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. About 1 year to the day that I lost my other girl Daisy to heart disease at 12 ½ years old.
Daisy was born in a puppy mill, sold in a pet store and then kept in a rusty urine-soaked crate for years and years plus she was bred over and over again, until she was released in to the care of the Jack Russell rescue.
She lost almost all of her teeth from tearing at her own coat- skin on fire from a combination of bad food and heavy untreated flea infestation. She also couldn't walk because she was never let out of the cage so she had no back leg muscles. I have had her for over 8 months and she is adjusting so well to her 3 brothers, but she is my girl.
She is now at the emergency vet getting fluids, she has blockage in her urether between her kidney and her bladder. If the stone doesn't pass to her bladder the vet says she will need to have surgery which will cost about $8,000 to $10,000. I have taken her to 3 ER hospitals today
alone to get a second opinion and the total cost for that is $2400. That does not include the surgery if that is what they need to do.
I feel she deserves to have a good life and I would love to give her more time to get all the love and hugs she deserves. 8 months is not long enough. Please help Daisy survive for a few more years. She deserves it.
Daisy is at the Emerald City Emergency Clinic in Seattle. 206-634-9000. The vet is Clare Foley! Thank you!!!
