On Thursday, Diamond suffered from a prolapsed calcoa. Essentially, when she was preparing to put out more eggs, her intestines and other internal organs prolapsed through her vent due to excessive straining from pushing. After a failed surgery, they were finally able to prevent the prolapse from recurring. However, since then, she has lost significant weight, and her droppings have become less frequent. The vet preformed blood tests and an X-ray, which showed that her intestines were misaligned, which was causing her severe discomfort.
This is where we are at now, and she is still at the Medical Center for Birds in Oakley. Diamond is my little baby girl, and I just want her home again. Anyone who meets her can tell right away that she's a bundle of joy with a huge personality. Unfortunately, the vet bills are piling up. I refuse to give up on my baby girl, but being a college student, my funds are limited. Any financial support, every penny, is greatly appreciated.
Please help me bring Diamond back home!
