Joanna Rebelgale, dear friend, wife, sister, cousin, niece and step mother needs our help. Joanna has devoted the last 30 years of her life to helping people get healthy. She is an orthopedic massage therapist and a certified nutritionist. In December 2016, Joanna got a devastating diagnosis of gastric cancer. We were all shocked because she leads such an exemplary life when it comes to making healthy choices.
The conventional Western medical prescription for her is chemotherapy and surgery, removing her entire stomach and attaching the small intestine to the bottom of her esophagus. Joanna deeply believes in the body’s ability to heal and is exploring other options before turning to something so radical.
Regardless of the path Joanna takes for her healing, this journey is life-altering and she will come through with even more resources for helping others. In all cases, her expenses (which are already surmounting) will be significant. Most of the complementary tests and treatments are not covered by insurance (i.e. a single unconventional blood test that will help her monitor her progress will alone cost $3,000). In addition, whether or not she has surgery, she will need to take a significant amount of time off work for her healing. If she does have surgery, her recovery will be even longer.
If you feel compelled to help, we have started this GoFundMe page for Joanna. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help and be so greatly appreciated. Joanna has already experienced a tremendous outpouring of love and support and this is another way we can put our love and care into action. We welcome any support you can send her way, including prayers! Thank you!
