Who We Are
We are Quartz Collective, an artist-led group of female creators dedicated to breaking boundaries in art, self-expression, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Our mission is to create immersive, thought-provoking performances and workshops that inspire and unite people from all backgrounds.
Our Upcoming Project
We’re thrilled to be selected for the Tellus Residency 2025!
To bring our vision to life, we’re launching a fundraiser to support the full installation and production process.
This multidisciplinary installation combines digital animation and paintings, creating an immersive environment within the gallery space. A central digital animation is divided into three or four sectors, each projected or displayed in harmony with the paintings that hang along the walls, surrounding the viewer. These animations synchronise at intervals, merging diverse imagery and layered sound to create moments of visual and auditory harmony. This harmony, however, is purposefully disrupted. At key moments, the synchronised visuals fracture into fragmented, chaotic sequences. The accompanying soundscape shifts into layered, dissonant noise, heightening the sense of disruption. A live performer moves continuously through the space, responding to these fluctuations with improvised, instinctive gestures. Their presence emphasises the dynamic interplay between order and chaos, creating a compelling and unpredictable sensory experience. The floor is to be covered with a soft, cloud-like material. An alternative or complementary approach includes a digital floor projection that spreads smoothly across the surface, generating a blurred, flowing effect in line with the visual mock-up.
Previous Project - POP UP Show
“I Always See Stars Above My Head” immersive installation set within a confined, intimate, digitally animated space, the project explored the physical and emotional limits of the body through continuous live performance. Over the course of five uninterrupted hours, two performers inhabited the space, moving in a state of constant, intuitive motion. The audience experienced the work voyeuristically—through a single peephole embedded in the door, reminiscent of an oversized, inverted keyhole.
The sound scape blended music with field recordings, drawing attention to the overlooked textures of daily life. It challenged the idea that music lives only in structure, reminding us that sound surrounds us—subtle, irreplaceable, and deeply woven into our existence. Looping animated visuals created an atmosphere of relentless chaos, with no defined beginning or end—intensifying the sense of repetition, confusion, and unpredictability.
