Help Coop beat Cancer!

Hello everyone,

Your friend, and our brother Aaron “Coop” Cooper has been diagnosed with stage four metastatic lung cancer. In early April while seeing his primary care doctor following a fall and what he thought could have been a broken rib, his doctor ordered a chest CT. His results showed signs of what appeared to be stage four metastatic lung cancer. This discovery has been a devastating blow to Coop, his wife Rachel, and his children Max, Sam, and Lilly.

This diagnosis is without a doubt directly related to his occupation, and currently is being treated as such through Dana-Farber. Coop is a Lieutenant with the Keene Fire Department and has dedicated 20 plus years of service to our community and the citizens we serve. Just last year he was awarded the Class Two Medal of Valor for his heroic actions in rescuing a woman from the second floor of the Cobble Stone Ale House fire, and within seconds of carrying her out went back upstairs to search for others. Coop has dedicated his life to helping others, and now needs our help more than ever. As one could imagine the treatment costs he and his family will incur throughout this fight will be insurmountable on their own. While the Professional Firefighter of Keene Local 3265 will do anything to ensure he receives the care and treatments needed, we are humbly asking for donations of any size to help offset the expenses he and his family will incur throughout the course of his treatment.

Coop has said in his own words “I am strong, young-ish, and in the best possible position to fight and beat this diagnosis”. Let’s all support him, and lend a hand to our brother in beating this Cancer!
