Hi everyone, my name is Ben. I’m 20 years old, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest periods of my life. Being young and trying to keep up with life’s expenses is already tough, but living with Crohn’s disease makes it even harder. Crohn’s is a chronic and often unpredictable autoimmune illness that affects the digestive system and can cause severe pain, exhaustion, and serious complications. Over the past several months, my condition has taken a major toll on my health. I’ve experienced intense flare-ups that have left me extremely sick, weak, and unable to function normally. Simple daily tasks that most people don’t think twice about can become overwhelming during these episodes. Unfortunately, this has caused me to miss a significant amount of work, which has put me in a very difficult financial position.

Crohn’s disease isn’t something that can be pushed through or ignored. When symptoms flare, they can be debilitating — severe abdominal pain, constant fatigue, nausea, and other complications that make it impossible to work or earn income consistently. While I’m doing everything I can to manage my health and follow medical guidance, recovery isn’t instant, and flare-ups don’t operate on a schedule. Between lost wages, medical appointments, treatments, medications, and everyday living expenses, the financial stress has become overwhelming.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but at this point, I truly need support to stay afloat while I focus on getting my health back under control.
