Manchester Marathon for Saltburn Skatepark

If you haven't heard.... Saltburn needs a skatepark! Hot on the heels of skateboarding being represented in this year's Olympics, please
help us bring this awesome park design to our amazing little town! Help us tackle childhood obesity, computer game addiction, anti-social
behaviour and provide a facility to nurture new talent in the wheeled sports sector. We will also be setting a precedent as one of the only
free 'community owned' skateparks in the UK.

Our 8 strong commitee have worked exceptionally hard over the last year to help turn a historical dream into a reality. When people told
us we couldn't do it, we showed them 'we could' and made it bigger and better! In just one year we have formed a Company with five
directors, secured a site, commisioned the park design and are working on planning permission. Not bad for 12 months work.

We have approached some big funders for the park build, but what we lack are costs for expenses such as site surveys, solicitors and
accountancy fees.  On October 10th 2021 me (Anna) & Gwen will be running Manchester Marathon A.K.A (26.2 miles of pure misery) to
raise some much needed costs for some of our pre-build expenses. Extra kudos to Gwen who was only ever loosely involved and jokingly
agreed to be understudy. As out third member Dani is now out of the marathon due to injury, Gwen is now 'it'.
Sh*t's about to get real Gwen.
