Today, sadly I am updating this to inform everyone that Lisa has passed. She was so tough and so strong until the very last day, fighting, keeping her cheery self as best she could. She is missed and so loved, and we can't thank everyone enough - the help were recieved, the donations, calls, messages and endless love shown. WE THANK YOU ALL . I know so many have already done so much and continue to do so to support in the tough days to follow so thank you! But I am asking again, to share this and to donate if you can to help with the following costs and relieve Wayne of the extra stress as he cared for Lisa full time at home and was unable to work due to covid and her illness. This fundraiser is to support Lisa and family, who has been through a lot in the past few months. With what started as colon cancer earlier in the year she had removed and been on chemotherapy until July. Sadly, during her last chemotherapy treatment it wasn't a happy day as she found out cancer had been rapidly growing - but now in her lungs DURING the chemotherapy treatments all along. As these past few weeks have been hard having a very different outcome than being rid of cancer, but having actually more, and with covid keeping loved ones away and Wayne (my dad) being off work taking care of her... things are hard. We're asking if anyone can help - if you can, I would greatly appreciate it, she didn't want anyone asking for money but honestly, I love them and I'm really not sure what else to do as I know money is tight. Anything helps......UPDATE: I am leaving up the story, though some things have changed as of recently. I was hoping to have good news but sadly more disappointing news...cancer is strong, very strong and has STILL spread even with ongoing treatments, with upping doses and with multiple scans monitoring and adjusting .... now the cancer is in her liver, and unfortunately is quite aggressive, and remains in her lungs. I am also updating to say thank you to everyone who has stepped in to help, the donations have been so SO SO APPRECIATED. you have no idea the amount of stress this takes off to help with costs that come up, such as modifications in the house for one, has been so helpful ! and the loss of work between herself and Wayne. please keep sharing the post, spreading the word out and donate if you can asking on behalf of a VERY deserving person who we all love dearly.
