Sterling`s CRPS/RSD Treatments
Donation protected

Sterling is a husband and father who is suffering from CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, formerly known as RSD.) CRPS is a rare and debilitating nervous system disorder that typically only affects a hand or foot, and it has reached Sterling`s feet. It is the most painful disease known to medical science. The pain has been described as "replacing all the blood in your body with lighter fluid and setting it aflame and never being able to put it out." It scores higher than unmedicated childbirth and digit amputation on the McGill Pain Scale and it is 24-hour-a-day pain. CRPS also causes numerous other problems in addition to the pain. These include, but are not limited to; swelling, changes in skin temperature, mottling, joint stiffness, swelling, and damage, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, muscle atrophy, sensitivity to touch or temperature changes, etc. His pain is so aggressive that is why we have to act so fast to try and get it into remission.
Sterling has tried all medical treatments available to him through his health insurance company and none have helped. There are other treatments for CRPS, but they must be paid for out-of-pocket because they are not covered by any medical insurances. We created this page to help raise awareness for CRPS/RSD and to raise the funds that Sterling desperately needs so that he can travel out of state and receive the treatments that could help him.
Sterling is a big time fisher in Alaska and hunter just about anywhere he can go. He loves the outdoors and spending time with his family! He is the owner of Triumph Youth Services, a center for troubled youth that has changed the lives of many young kids and teens across the states. He has tons of boys that look up to him and hate not being able to see him everyday as they would like. Help us get Ster back to his normal routine and his fun and energetic life!
Any donations would help, no matter the size. Every penny counts!
