Marty Carlson tragically passed away on June 14, 2015 after a long battle with multiple health issues.  He had cancer in his 20's and the treatment wreaked havoc on his body.  Since then, he has battled with endless issues including failing kidneys and heart issues.  Two years ago Marty was two days away from receiving a kidney transplant, but due to his health issues the transplant had to be postponed.  We all hoped that he would get healthy enough to receive the kidney, but unfortunately he passed away before that was able to happen.  Due to a combination of heart issues and kidney issues, Marty passed away yesterday after a week on life support and the past month in and out of ICU and rehab.

Due to his health issues, Marty was never able to hold a job and had no kind of savings, life insurance or the chance to make any preparations for the end of his life.  While our family is doing what they can, the financial strain of thousands of dollars for funeral plans is a weight on our shoulders.  If anyone is interested in contributing any amount to Marty's funeral fund, it would be greatly appreciated.  All funds will be going toward covering Marty's funeral expenses so he can have a proper service.  Any donations above and beyond the cost of the service will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation in Marty's name.
