Rachel's Angels against Her Cancer

I am Rachel's Auntie Debbie. We are the Stickler family from Portland, Oregon.
Rachel now lives in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
Tom Stickler, ( her father) now lives in Savannah, Missouri to be close to Rachel and her children.
I am starting this fund for Rachel Korina(Ware) Stickler.
Rachels' Story:
Rachel is a 33 year old single mother of four beautiful children. One her sons has autism.
Last year, Rachel was diagnosed with Stage 1 Papillary Thyroid cancer. Due to Rachel's anemia and low blood pressure, she was not a candidate for a total thyroidectomy. Rachel underwent two rounds of RAI, the first round completely unsuccessful.
Her second scan revealed some progress, but thyroid was still at partial function. During this scan, it was detected that the cancer had spread into the lymph nodes and bladder. During this scan, Rachel's diagnosis was downgraded to Stage IV Metastatic Thyroid Cancer.
She was then put on an inhibitor as well as other medications for blood pressure. She also started receiving neupogen injections.
Rachel began having adverse reactions to some of the medications including fever, body rashes and aches that made her body feel like it was "breaking" every time she moved. Rachels' blood calcium also became very dangerously low.
In the beginning, Rachel worked three jobs. Rachel now has limited work and income and can no longer afford to pay for her medications.
This Angel Fund for Rachel will allow her to start taking medications and hopefully undergo more procedures for her cancer that she could not otherwise afford. Rachel's Angels Fund will also be used to pay rent for housing and food for Rachel and her 4 children. Rachel's Angels fund will also help to pay her car payment so that she has transportation to her Dr. appts. Rachel will most likely lose her car and will be forced to use public transportation with 4 children.
Rachel has had so many challenges, but continues to make sure that she and her children eat dinner together at night as a family. Family is #1 to Rachel.
She teaches her children to be kind to others. To all who know Rachel, it is evident in her caring ways. Rachel is the most loving Mother and is always engaged in her children. Projects during ALL holidays is a family funfest.
This family may not have money, but they have never lacked in love for each other.
Please think of Rachel and her young family.
Rachel has always given to others before giving to herself. Maybe today we can all give her the gift of life with her children.
