Save Sara

Meet Sara.

She is one of the kindest people I know; there isn't anything she wouldn't do for her friends and family.

She and I were roommates several year ago, and during that time, when I was trying to quit smoking, Sara surprised me with a care package full of mints, gum, and fidget toys. Whenever her son needed help, even if it meant her driving to Chicago and back in a day, Sara would be there.

That's just the kind of person Sara is.

Sara is also one of the best Children's Librarians I've ever worked with. She's effortlessly friendly and positive, and is always ready to share a listening ear, a silly voice, or a fun fact.

Sara has brightened the lives of so many people, including mine. But she is struggling.

Sara is battling heart failure, mobility issues, and chronic pain. In addition, her heart failure has complicated preexisting mental health issues that are now worse than they've been in years.

Sara is struggling financially, too. She is unable to afford the bariatric surgery that her doctors reccommend and that her insurance won't cover.

Please help me help Sara by funding her medical treatment. She would do the same for me (or any of us) without giving it a second thought.
