Nepal Village Temporary Shelters
Donation protected
Greetings! I am Ben Guevara and I have just returned from a volunteer disaster relief trip to Nepal. Early in the trip I spent 3 days far up in the mountains in a remote village called Baskarka. They are a small farming village that once had 47 houses. After the 7.8 earthquake on April 25 there are none. All were leveled and destroyed. They have no homes and need to build temporary shelters to stay safe and dry during the monsoon season. After that they can think about rebuilding more permanent homes. Each temporary shelter can be built for around $350. With your compassionate contributions we can safely shelter this whole village. Please take a moment and send whatever dollar amount you are comfortable with to help in this effort. The monsoons have begun, they last for 3-4 months, so we need to move fast to get materials and supplies up to their village. They will complete the building process themselves. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity. Together we can make a tremendous difference. Their government has not offered any help to this day!
