Cody was involved in a head-on collision on Tuesday, 5/13/2025, early in the morning while he was on his way into work. It has been determined that Cody was not at fault. The other driver crossed over the double yellow lines and hit Cody head-on while Cody was driving in his assigned lane. He was airlifted and made it to the hospital just in time to repair a very serious heart injury. He has many very serious, extensive injuries that will take a very long time to repair and lots of physical rehab to come. He currently is not awake (medically induced). He was woken up for a neuro exam, which was positive. Cody was able to follow with his eyes, wiggle his fingers and toes, and put his thumb up while they allowed him to be awake for a few minutes. He is still in a trauma ICU and probably will be for some time to come, but so far, things are looking better than they were Tuesday morning.
Cody has a long road ahead of him, and any donations made will help him focus on recovering and relieving any financial burden. Any amount, re-post, or share is very much appreciated.
