My friend was attacked the other day while working on a sign for #BlackTransLivesMatter at a #GeorgeFloyd memorial in #TheBronx, #NYC. The guys pulled a knife out. Thank God my friend had two people there with him. Unfortunately, this happened in front of one of their children, right across the street from my friend's apartment. In addition to that, one of the assailants knows who he is. This happened middle of the day/broad daylight. My friend has a dog which forces him to have to be outside, and this happened right next his apartment. When their attempts to attack my friend were blocked by the two people that were with him, they proceeded to destroy the entire memorial. I am worried for his safety, so I'm starting a GoFundMe for temporary hotel/dog walking services, and permanent apartment relocation. This is serious. He could have been killed.
