My mother-in-law, Cecilia, has been a dedicated LVN for the state of California for over 10 years. Until she experienced pain one day and discovered blood in her discharge, which led to the discovery of two cancerous tumors in her bladder. After surgery to remove one tumor and 12 chemotherapy sessions, she was diagnosed with urachal cancer.

Now that she has surgery scheduled, she's being told that her insurance will not cover surgery for this rare and aggressive form of cancer since she has been on disability for over 12 months. She's in need of some assistance to aid in meeting the monetary requirements of this much-needed surgery.
