Help Ashley’s Dad Recover After a Stroke — No Insurance & Urgent Medical Needs

Hi, my name is Jordan Wilson, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend, Ashley, and her dad, who recently suffered a stroke in the cerebellum.

Ashley’s dad is a kind, hard-working man who means the world to both of us. I live with Ashley and her dad, so I’ve witnessed firsthand how much this has turned their lives upside down. The stroke has left him unable to swallow at the moment, and he now relies on a feeding tube. He will need ongoing speech therapy to help recover his ability to swallow, as well as extensive rehabilitation and 24/7 medical care.

He became sick while he was in Texas, and Ashley and I had to travel from Indiana to be by his side. After his condition stabilized enough for transport, we brought him back home to Indianapolis — an emotional and costly process.

To make things even harder, he doesn’t have health insurance. The medical bills from the hospital stay, transportation, rehab, speech therapy, cardiologist visits, doctor visits, and home medical equipment are quickly becoming more than we can handle alone.
