Hello this is Yoshi who just turned two. Yoshi was a perfect healthy dog then a few days ago he could not keep his balance. Yoshi was taken into the Vet where they thought he had gotten poisoned from eating something from outside. We took him back home and got him medicine that they recommended to help since that’s what they suspected. The very next morning he could not walk or move his lower half so we brought him into another vet where we could get a better answer and Yoshi was diagnosed with IVDD ( Intervertebral disc disease) which is a disc disease which can cause him to be paralyzed. If it is not fixed it can cause his spine to deteriorate and cause him to go into cardiac arrest sooner than later. The surgery alone can range from 8,000 to 10,000. Yoshi needs the surgery ASAP so he will not lose all feeling. This is a life threatening disease If not fixed. Yoshi is a wonderful dog to not only my family and my kids but has had a big impact on my son Beckham since day one. Beckham was born with hydrocephalus and has a shunt to control his cerebrospinal fluid, has cerebral palsy, and is partially deaf. Yoshi not only helps out with Beckhams needs but keeps my son in good spirits. Yoshi isn’t just a dog to my son, he’s a part of him and he is also our family too. Anything helps.
