Empty Bowls for Ohana School

Ohana Village School was opened in December 2013 and schools children aged 5-13 in the Takeo Provience of Cambodia. I firmly believe that every child deserves an education and sometimes because of very difficult circumstances it is hard for alot of children to get to Government schools. That is why I and a alot of other people have built schools in villages in Cambodia. This fundraiser is for the relocation of the current building we have now so we can reach more children in very remote villages. The new village is ready to receive us in December. The children and the monks are very excited. All the money raised by your kind donations will go to the relocation of the building, any fixtures, toilets and the teachers salary which is $120 per month. The village has already donated a piece of land where Ohana can live on. I really believe that all children deserve an education and its my mission to help as much as I can. I started this school just as a random thought and it escalated into a beautiful reality. I know it will thrive in the village and I am excited for an estimated 125 more children to go to school!

EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT

Ohana Village School is very excited to be part of the Empty Bowls project this year. Bowls cost $15 and all the profits will be donated to the school.  At the commencement of the campaign, donors will be invited on December 5th to their local pottery studio where they will be allowed to paint a bowl. The bowls will be left with the studio to be fired and then donated to a local charitable organization or taken home if desired.
