Lift to carry my Mobility Scooter

I need your help.

I am now confined to a mobility scooter similar to the one in the picture.  My insurance paid for it.  However, it does not pay for a lift for my car.

The only way I can go to my doctor appointments or travel anywhere outside of my apartment is with some kind of a lift, ramp or carrier for my mobility scooter.

Two years ago I was able to add a hitch to my car.  A year later I was able to buy an inexpensive ramp.  The ramp has proven to be a disaster.  I can no longer stand long enough to let it down, open the ramp, tie down my scooter and then secure the ramp.   My scooter is also over 250 pounds and bouncing up and down while driving has lowered the carrier to about five inches above the pavement.  It constantly digs into pavement while I'm driving.

I am embarrassed to have to ask for your help.  But I can no longer figure out how to solve my mobility problem as I just do not have the money or resources to do so.

I need a powered lift that my scooter can drive onto, that secures the scooter and safely raises it higher than five inches.

The reason that I am in a moblity scooter is that I no longer have any cartilidge in my knees and I have diabetic neropathy which has left my legs in pain and pretty much useless.

Please, do not feel obligated to help.  And only help if you can truly afford it.  I'm sorry that I have to ask for your help but I just can not figure this out on my own.
