For Marsha
As a Registered Nurse and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Marsha Tyacke has dedicated her life to learning and helping others. She returned to school to obtain her PhD in Nursing and graduated in 2018 with the goal of continuing her research on end -of-life issues in the critically ill. She took a faculty position at Marquette University and completed a Post-Doctorate Fellowship in Ethics. "Driven" is one word to describe her. Other words are compassionate, loving, kind, loyal, and dedicated. She is dedicated to her friends, patients, profession, colleagues and most importantly her family, especially her husband and three children (ages 15, 15, 17) Her children are everything to Marsha. Her love to learn and develop have been engrained into her children. Her goals in life were to provide for her family and to see each of her 3 children graduate from college.
Fast forward to fall 2020...Marsha was diagnosed with a rare primary brain tumor called a sarcoma. After undergoing two craniotomies, radiation, and chemotherapy, the tumor continued to grow. In May 2021, she attempted another chemotherapy regimen with the hope of having "as much time with her children". However, after a valiant attempt at treatment, the cancer prevails and she is entering hospice. Her goal of seeing her kids through college will not happen.
This page is for Marsha and her family as a means to help with college costs for her children. Please donate to help Marsha's Dream of college for her children come true!
