My wife and 2 daughters flew from Kuwait to Toronto, Canada, via Doha, Qatar, back in October 2025. There were many mishaps before and during their trip. I hesitated a lot before starting this go-fund-me project but we exhausted all possible means to reach a solution with Qatar Airways to no avail. In fact, they decided to completely ignore us and our many complaints.

IATA does not accept complaints against airlines, so we filed a complaint with the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA). Case # is 25-53894. But,unfortunately, according to the CTA they are backlogged and it may take up-to 18 months before they can actually begin to investigate our case. Therefore, we decided to go the the legal route and file a lawsuit against Qatar Airways hoping they'll be forced to bring our dog (which is still stranded in Kuwait.. and they DO HAVE 7 weekly flights) to Canada, and hoping to hit them with a hefty settlement for the stress, pain, and suffering, they put our family, especially my 2 underage daughters, who are still depressed and demand the caretaker in Kuwait to send daily videos of the dog that grew up with them. Qatar Airways denied boarding the dog despite us having a confirmed approval. And that's not the only thing they did. Qatar Airways did this to my wife & kids back in October 2025:
(1) Forced my kids to leave their pet dog behind in Kuwait when they came to Canada despite having pre-approval for the dog. Few days before the flight we followed Qatar Airways' (IATA-approved) instructions and procedures for bringing a dog on the same flight. The form had questions about dog size and cage dimensions, among other information. We completed the form and a couple of days after we received online approval via email to bring the dog along the same trip. On the day of the flight, at the Qatar Airways counter, it seems the ground crew staff (Mahmoud) doesn't like pets and he thinks they are filthy. Before checking any paperwork he asked my wife to go way behind the counter with "that-thing" (meaning the pet) as he is disgusted. He told her you are not allowed to bring the dog but my wife insisted and showed him the approval. Only for him to make up an excuse and said cage is too small.. WITHOUT even measuring it. keep in mind the exact measurements for both the dog and cage were submitted few days prior to Qatar Airways and they gave us an approval. Long story short, kids were crying, gates about to close, so my wife left the dog with a friend asked her to find a place for her until we arrange to bring her to Canada.
(2) My wife had purchased extra luggage as her and my kids were leaving Kuwait to come settle back in Canada permanently. We have the online receipts to prove it. However, at the counter, their ground crew staff (Mahmoud), denied that. He claimed that he doesn't see it on his system that we purchased extra luggage. My wife showed him the receipts but it seems he has a problem reading English so he simply dismissed them, AND, charged my wife and kids EXTRA for all excess weight.
(3) Few days before the flight we also purchased the seats online. They were not free seats. We bought and paid for them and got the confirmation. However,at the counter, this rude ground crew staff claimed that we did not pay for any seats, and he re-assigned my family different seats. Needless to say, they were at the tail end of the plane, right by the bathrooms.
(4) On the plane (this is the fun part). When boarded the plane (still on the ground), my 2 daughters were crying in disbelief their tiny dog was left behind in Kuwait. So a nice flight attendant asked my wife what's wrong, so my wife told her. The attendant was shocked at the ground crew staff's behaviour so she said she will speak to someone. For our surprise, the same rude ground crew staff comes over. It seems he was also on the plane (heading to Qatar) and it seems the attendant didn't know it was him we had the issue with and she spoke to him. He comes over, and tells my wife and kids (you wanna do this the easy way or hard way?).My wife asked him what he meant by that? He said we could take it "off-the plane". That was a direct bullying and threatening my wife and kids to throw them off the plane if they didn't stop "being upset" that he denied their "pre-approved" dog to board and accompany them to Canada. Even the flight attendant was shocked. As she said she's willing to testify re what he said if asked, we mentioned it in our complaint to Qatar Airways. But as I said earlier, Qatar Airways chose to ignore our complaint all together.
(5) In-Transit. When arrived at Doha Airport, we complained at a Qatar Airways counter. They gave us an email address to send the complaint to (tell-us@qatarairways.com.qa). Which we did 2 months ago, but no one responded to-date.

Aside from direct emails to Qatar Airways and at least 6 phone-calls with their customer support, and we also filed numerous complaints on Qatar Airways' website, but all fell on deaf ears. Also, out of desperation I tried to. complain on X (Twitter) and their customer service been telling me"it's under investigation" whenever I ask for an update for almost 2 months.

Qatar Airways is state-owned by the Government of Qatar. An oil-rich sheikhdom bullying my family (wife,2 kids, pet dog), denied services they pre-paid for, and over-charged them, and threatened to throw them off the plane, and our pet is STILL left behind. And i don't have means or financial resources to fight back or at least bring our pet home..

Funds will be used to:
1) Fly our pet from Kuwait to Toronto. A service that we were quoted about $5,000 for.
2) Pay the caretaker place for services up until dog leaves Kuwait. (unsure how much yet).
3) retain a law firm to file a lawsuit against Qatar Airways (and the State of Qatar) in Canada. Spoke to few and all demanded very high fees and promised good results (compensation). I was quoted different fees' level based on extent of lawsuit and outcome I aim for as many international subpoenas will be issued to company and government officials and sent via the embassy in Canada..etc. . I will demand to to prove that Qatar Airways violated IATA regulations and unjustly denied my family services they paid for and for threatening and bullying my wife and kids, and I'll attempt to demand to ban from Canada (for being hostile towards pets), and will also demand financial compensation. Hence I was quoted a $30,000; of which $15,000 retainer fee and the same amount when hearings begin, and a final 20% of final compensation amount (negotiated down from initial 28%). With a notation that fees might increase depending on case proceedings.

My personal pledge to you if you fund me:
1) Provide you with any paperwork you request to see.
2) Allow you to talk to my wife or 2 daughters for added comfort and authenticity to the mentioned events, if you so wish.
3) Provide you with updates re our efforts to bring our dog to Canada.
4) Provide you with photos.
5) Email you updates re the lawsuit once it starts.
6) If final outcome of the lawsuit has compensation, I promise to share a percentage proportional to your contribution (after law firm and other fees)

If you want to help us fight a big corporation we appreciate any help you can provide-- especially if you have (or love) kids and/or pets. I Thank you for taking the time to at least hear our 'sad" story
